 Au CHUS Hotel-Dieu, le 30 juin, est décédé M. Albini Girouard à l'âge de 89 ans. Il était l'époux de feu Thérèse Ferland et demeurait à Coaticook.

La famille accuiellera les parents et amis au salon Charron mardi le 3 juillet 2012 de 14 à 16 heures et de 19 à 21 heures ainsi que le jour des funérailles à partir de 9 heures jusqu'au départ du salon à 10 h 40. Les funérailles seront célébrées mercredi le 4 juillet à 11 heures à l'église St-Edmond suivra l'inhumation au cimetière du même nom.

M. Girouard laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Suzanne (Roger Biron); Denise (Jacques Roy); Jeannine (Larry Walker); Louise (feu Pierre-Marc Cournoyer); Lucie (Jacques Harvey) et Gaston. Il était aussi le père de feu Céline (Luc Lanciaux) et de feu Claire. Ses petits-enfants: Maryse et Éric Walker, Christian Roy, Sébastien et Martine Lamontagne, Isabelle, Marie et Stéphanie Cournoyer, Sophie et Cathy Lanciaux, Zoé et Catherine Harvey. Il était aussi le grand-père de feu Nathalie Roy et de feu Benoit Harvey. Ses arrière petits-enfants: Myriam, Audrey, Shania, Nathan, Nicolas, Majorie, Noémi, Thomas, Maverick et Charline. Ses frères ert soeurs: Arsène Girouard (feu Laura); Marie-Jeanne (feu Bernard Marion); Cécile (feu Adrien); René (Jeanne); ainsi que feu Clara (feu Wilbrod Labbé); feu Philippe (feu Rita Dionne) et feu Raymond Girouard. Ses beaux-frères et belles-soeurs: Jeanne D'Arc et Philippe Ferland (Aline Rodrigue) ainsi que feu Antonio (feu Yvette Veronneau); feu Léopoldine (feu Sarto Bergeron), feu Fernande (feu Henri Roy); feu Arthur (feu Suzanne Perreault); feu André (feu Lorraine Routhier); feu Marie-Reine; feu Marie-Louise et feu Alphonse Ferland ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces, autres parents et amis.

La famille désire remercier le personnel du centre de santé de Coaticook pour les bons soins.

I cannot help but feel to say that one doesn\'t see race , or focus on it, is to deny the fact that race plays a pettry significant role in the power structure of our society. Babysarah pointed out that maybe children chose to invite white dolls because a majority of tv programs/advertising and retail items are still based around white cultures and therefore more familiar? . White is still the hegemonic normative (well white male really) about which euro-american cultures set the mold. From this mold we then accept or marginalize deviance.Of course children and adults notice differences in ethnicities. We notice all differences in people, physical, cultural, even in ssexual orientation. That\'s okay. It\'s how we react to those differences, how we teach our children to feel about those differences that matters. Wanting one\'s children to grow up around a multitude of differences, for those differences to be normalized to children, to accept them as no big deal, is not something to be scoffed at or brushed aside.
